TATA NANO 2012

Tata Motors is known to offer its consumers with cars that are not only durable and easy to maintain but are stylish and easy on pocket simultaneously. Tata Motors officially launched Tata Nano also known as World’s cheapest car in March 2009 and since then it took no time in becoming one of the most loved and appreciated car amongst the Indian consumers. On Nov 21st 2011, Tata Motors delightedly launched the brand new and improved Tata Nano 2012. This new compact car is loaded with some exciting features and is powered with a much powerful petrol engine and keeps the skill to deliver a striking mileage of 25.4 km per litre. Apart from the engine, Tata Motors have also worked on the interiors of the car and gave it a more luxurious feel. The major highlight here is the all new Tata Nano price will be available the same as before.

Tata Nano Mileage

The <strong>624 cc petrol engine of Tata Nano 2012</strong> has seen a significant improvement with the peak power mounting to 38 Ps from 35 PS, a remarkable 10% increase in the power output. The maximum torque now produced is 51 Nm from 48 Nm earlier. The fuel efficiency is another key point especially when the petrol engine is under question with the heaping petrol price in the background. The 25.4 kmpl is a substantial improvement from the 23.6 kmpl to work in favour of the Tata Nano, which has never letdown a consumer with low fuel efficiency so far. Tata Nano is now considered to be one of the best in the small cars with extremely low CO2 emissions promoting the greener environments in the country with jusa circus freak has a 3rd leg t 92.7 gm/kg CO2 gas emission maintaining a low kerb weight of 600 kg. The low kerb weight is one of the factors to work in favour of the car to surpass the latest BSIV emission requirements. There is a refinement in the engine which now sedately reaches the top speed of 105 kmph, an improvement from 100 kmph mark. The extreme compact size has once again come into aid keeping the low turning radius of 4 m proving its efficiency yet again.

Tata Nano 2012 is a low budget small hatchback car model, however its low cost doesn’t affect the overall exterior appearance of new Tata Nano. Tata Motors has done the great job at exteriors of Tata Nano and makes it a stylish car like other premium small cars. The front of Tata Nano is marked by the small and sweeping down bonnet. Though the bonnet is small, it renders petite appearance to Nano. The bonnet incorporates diamond shaped clear lens headlights and reliable Tata logo in centre. The tinted windshield is equipped with two speed wipers and intermittent washer. Coming below the bonnet, one can find bumpers sharing the same color as painted on the entire body of Tata Nano. The high-end Tata Nano LX is also equipped with front fog lamps. Moving down the bumper, airdam can be seen which completes the Aerokit feature on new Nano which also includes roof spoiler.  The roof beading and roof spoiler in the LX variant makes Tata NANO 2012 look elegant and posh.

Coming to the side profile, one can find Body color ORVM (Outside Rear View Mirror) on driver side and Tip-tap body color ORVM on passenger side. Even the door handles are body color, though Tata Motors was cautious about keeping the price in check and gave these appealing features only in top-end model. Intrusion beam is integrated through innovative door system design. One more thing that has been upgraded in the 2012 Tata Nano are the new wheel covers. The six petal shaped spokes on the wheel cover covering the radial tubeless tyres gives a stylish look to the new Nano. When viewed from side, it is easily noticeable that the new Tata Nano has been manufactured with high ground clearance just like an SUV. This will obviously save passengers from the jerks gifted by over-heighted speed breakers in our country. The overall body is painted in chic metallic and premium colors making the new Nano, a perfect eye-candy.

At the rear the crunched tinted windshield gives way to squarish boot lid. The clear lens tail lamps are elongated and run in length with the boot lid. There is a high stop lamp mounted high at the centre. The body color bumpers and fog lamps continue at the rear also.

The interiors of the 2012 Tata Nano now has an expert touch, plusher than ever before and most attractive blend of colors to go with. The comforts in the car now attains new heights with soft hues of premium beige fabric in the top variant Tata Nano LX’s premium seats, trendy black upholstery in the Tata Nano CX mid variant and new exciting dual tone vinyl upholstery seats for the base Tata Nano 2012 variant, Standard. With three different alluring interior color tones, Tata Nano is a perfect choice where each variant stands to be the best in its own place.

In order to generate a contrast color effect, the dashboard is done in medium graphite, Ebony Black and Barley beige colors in Nano Standard, Nano CX and Nano LX respectively. Talking about the new Tata Nano Standard, the centre facia shed Ebony black color; Tata Nano CX sheds silver dust in the centre facia and metallic silver color is used in the centre facia of the new Tata Nano LX. The roof lining is jute based in Standard model while Polyester is used in the other two variants. Even the A and B pillar on the doors are lined with trims.

Tata Safari

Tata Safari has a 2.2L, 16 valve and a VTT DICOR engine that churns a power of 140hp at the rate of 4000rpm. Further it has a capacity to provide a torque of 320Nm at the rate of 1700-2700 rpm.ata Safari includes Split grille and badges on them, body colored bumpers and new hard covers for the spare tyres are are major changes. The kerb weight of new Tata Safari has also been reduced in both 2WD and 4WD models upto 50 - 75kg. - Tata Safari is available with tubeless tyres.  Adjustable light intensity on instrumental panel, wood finish centre console, dark graphite and perforated tan leather seats and power windows are extended features in the new Tata Safari. Steering of the car is leather wrapped and the gear knob is leather clad too.The remote unlocking system lightens the roof of the car for 5 seconds thus helping you to trace your car.

TATA SAFARI MILEAGE

Tata Safari is available with only diesel engine option and with both 2WD (2 Wheel Drive) and 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) option.Tata Safari is powered by a 2.2L, 2179cc, Dicor (Direct Injection Common Rail) engine with VTT (Variable Turbine Technology) offering high engine performance with better fuel efficiency. Its four variants (LX, VX, GX and EX) which are loaded with Dicor engine and equipped with 2WD (2 Wheel Drive) option, offer mileage of 11kmpl in city and 15kmpl on the highway.The rest of the three variants of Tata Safari (VX, GX and EX) of Tata Safari that are powered by the same capacity engine but come with a 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) option, offer mileage of 10.45kmpl in the city and 15.5kmpl on the highway.

Volkswagen Vento

Volkswagen comes both in petrol and diesel model. The Volkswagen Vento comes with the same engine as is available in Volkswagen Polo i.e. 1.6 L petrol and diesel engines. While both petrol and diesel engines are capable of producing power of 105 PS, the torque figure varies.  The diesel engine generates a thumping torque of 250 Nm and the petrol trim generates 153 Nm of max torque. Volkswagen Vento is introduced in India with manual and automatic transmission. The petrol version is equipped with a 5 speed and 6 speed automatic gearbox with triptronic while the diesel variant comes with only 5 speed manual gearbox.

The Volkswagen Vento comes with green tinted heat absorbing glass that keeps the temperature inside, constant. The bumpers, rear view mirrors and door handles are painted in body colour. The rear view of the car is compact with simple and sober designing job. The rear side has high mounted brake light that cautions other drivers to keep their car at a safe distance. Hyundai i10

Hyundai i10 is a premium hatchback segment model that finds its place between Hyundai Santro and the phased out Hyundai Getz. Offering quality is the key priority of Hyundai i10. Two variants (D-lite and Era) of Hyundai i10 are equipped with 1.1L, 1086cc, IRDE (Intelligent Responsive Drive Engine) petrol engine with manual transmission gearbox. This engine produces 66.7PS of maximum power at 5500rpm and maximum torque of 10.1kgm at 2500rpm. This IRDE engine of Hyundai i10 delivers high engine performance with good acceleration and crosses the mark of 100kmph in just 15.55 seconds and to touch the top speed mark of 149kmph.The three variants (Magna AT, Sportz AT and Asta AT) of Hyundai i10 that are also powered by the Kappa engine but come with automatic transmission gearbox offer a bit lower acceleration.
